HBCU Kings to Compete at Lincoln University

 Jefferson City, MO- Sixteen campus kings from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) around the country will head to Lincoln University and Jefferson City this week. The 10th Annual Mr. HBCU Kings’ Leadership Conference and Competition begins Wednesday, February 5 and runs through Sunday, February 9.  The young men will showcase their talents and oratory skills during the main competition on Saturday, February 8, at 7 p.m. in Richardson Fine Arts Center-Robert and Charlene Mitchell Auditorium.  The event is open to the public.  Tickets are $5. 

Celebrating its tenth year, the Mr. HBCU Kings’ Leadership Conference and Competition will host its greatest number of participants to date. The kings competing this year are: Mr. Bethune-Cookman University; Mr. Bowie State University; Mr. Central State University; Mr. Coppin State University; Mr. Delaware State University; Mr. Fisk University; Mr. Howard University; Mr. Lincoln University (PA); Mr. North Carolina A&T State University; Mr. Talladega College; Mr. Texas Southern University; Mr. Tuskegee University; Mr. University of Maryland Eastern Shore; Mr. Virginia Union University; Mr. Voorhees College; and Mr. Winston-Salem State University. 

The kings will spend the week taking part in personal development activities targeted toward future roles in leadership. In addition, the participants will produce an anti-bullying PSA as part of their community service track.
