Assistant Professor/Crop Science Code#D4-725
Cooperative Research Department


Responsibilities of approximately 50% research and 50 % teaching in the area of crop science. The research component of this position would integrate plant stress physiology, molecular and breeding efforts, and agronomic research associated with cop growth and development. Specifically, research will identify plant traits and mechanisms that are useful in coping with climate change induced and other stresses, and maintain or increase crop yields using molecular and traditional approaches. The focus for this position will be major agronomic and vegetable crops in Missouri. Position deadline is July 31, 2014.


Individual are sought with PH.D in agronomy, crop science, or a closely related filed with demonstrated experience in the above mentioned areas. Post doctoral research and teaching experience is preferred. Interpersonal, effective oral and written communication skills, and willingness and ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a diverse group of students and faculty are essential.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
