Specialization: Music Education, Instrumental Conducting, Tuba
Michael Johnson teaches Foundations and Principles of Music Education, Survey of Instruments,
Music of Black Americans, and Applied Tuba. He also serves as Assistant Director of Bands
and is the Music Ed. Supervisor for the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Dr. Johnson is
a member of Music Educators National Conference, Missouri Music Educators Association, and
Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. Prior to joining the Lincoln University music
faculty, he taught for a number of years in the Texas Public School System.
