Fulton Preschool provides a quality school experience for 3-5 year-olds by offering an educationally sound program that emphasizes both academic and social development. FPA philosophy is and has always been, "learning through play." The FPA values play as a framework for learning, helping every child succeed. Our preschoolers are gently introduced to and prepared for the structure and the areas of learning they will master in kindergarten.
The Missouri Educator Gateway Assessments (MEGA) are state mandated assessments for all prospective teachers and guidance counselors. The assessments include: the Missouri Educator Profile (MEP); the Missouri General Education Assessment (MoGEA); the Missouri Content Assessment (MoCA); the Missouri Preservice Teacher Assessment (MoPTA); and the Missouri School Counselor Performance Assessment (MoSCPA).
Two testing companies are responsible for these assessments. Pearson Education, Inc. and the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Each company has different ways of providing financial help to students taking their assessment.
Pearson Education, Inc. is responsible for the MEP, MoGEA and the MoCA. They provide a limited number of fee waivers for enrolled undergraduate or graduate students. They will be distributed on a first come first serve basis, starting January 19, 2016. The fee waivers can be used to register for the MoGEA or MoCA. The waivers come in two denominations, $25.00 waivers for the MoGEA and $50.00 waivers for the MoCA. To get the fee waiver (voucher) complete the Voucher Request Form and turn it into the Education Department Office 452 MLK.
Educational Testing Service (ETS) is responsible for the MOPTA. ETS provides a application that test takers can complete that provides a rebate of $100.00 to qualifying students. Information is available during the registration process.
