ASSISTANT PROFESSOR DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The CS&IS Department invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor
position starting in August 2013. The position requires that a PhD in Computer
Science or a closely related field is completed prior to the start date. We will
consider strong candidates from all areas of computer sciences but applicants with
expertise in mobile computing, architecture, security, and gaming are especially
encouraged.
The successful candidate is expected to develop into an outstanding teacher at the
undergraduate and graduate levels, establish and maintain an active and rigorous
research program, actively seek funding in support of his/her research activities,
and involve students in his/her research activities. The teaching load is three
courses per semester. Some teaching experience is preferred.
Initial screening will begin on December 9, 2013 and will continue until the position
is filled.
The CS&IS Department at Bradley University currently consists of 9 full time
tenure/tenure-track faculty professorial positions and one lecturer position. We
currently offer bachelors and masters degrees in both Computer Science and
Computer Information Systems.
