SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Responsibilities:Perform server and application support, assists in feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and end user training in response to user requests. Perform as team lead for projects involving multiple members; Manage deadlines; Provide status reports; Facilitate testing and project quality control. Define, analyze, evaluate, test, and implement software applications with accuracy and timeliness; create and maintain application support documentation along with end user documentation; provide end user training as needed. Assist in testing upgrades to existing applications; Assist the team in solving application failures. Analyze user department needs and assist in eliminating redundancy and improving efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Set up, install, and maintain servers, network equipment and printers; diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems; monitor network integrity to ensure connectivity. Manage email system; upgrade network software on personal computers and network servers. Research and make purchase recommendations for computer equipment; evaluate software; maintain licensing agreements to ensure compliance with copyright laws and regulations. Create, remove and maintain network and email user accounts; work with vendors for repair of equipment under warranty. Provide direct technical support to Helpdesk Technicians as needed.
Status: Full Time, Exempt
Working hours: Primarily 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience; experience installing and maintaining computer systems and operating systems including Windows and Windows Server; experience managing MS Active Directory Services and DNS / DHCP Servers; Prefer support experience with MS IIS, MS SQL Server, Tomcat/Apache and GroupWise; LAN and WAN technologies, antivirus systems, security and intrusion detection; imaging systems, and SAN / Storage Systems.
Starting Salary Range: $45,898 - $57,372
