Mission Statement The mission of Counseling and Career Services (C&CS) is to provide high quality service in the areas of personal, academic, social, and career counseling to the University's diverse student population (i.e. academically at-risk students, physically challenged students and non-traditional student population). Additionally, Counseling and Career Services serves as a support system in conjunction with the academic areas, while simultaneously promoting student growth and development, thus contributing to the learning process beyond the classroom.       Role The mission of Counseling and Career Services involves the following:   to provide career facts to those students entering the University, especially those who have not declared a major to provide assessments and counseling which assist students to internalize their potential as citizens in the competitive American society to refer students requiring counseling services beyond those offered by Counseling and Career Services to appropriate local agencies to provide national and local testing services to the University and surrounding communities to ensure that personnel receive opportunities for participation in staff development training to facilitate and provide leadership in the University's efforts to comply with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act, and to contribute to the recruitment and retention rates of prospective and current students Contact Counseling and Career Services
