Graduation Checklist
The following checklist provides you with information that will make your graduation as smooth as possible.
- There is a flat $35.00 graduation fee that every student must pay when applying for graduation. It pays for your diploma, a miniature diploma and a diploma cover.
- Once you submit an application for degree card in the Records Office, B-4 Young Hall, an evaluation form and a copy of your transcript for your specified major as well as your minor, if one is declared, will be sent to your department head to review. The Registrar also performs a Summary Check of your general education requirements.
- Once the Records Office receives the evaluation and it is compared with the Summary Check, a letter will be sent to you specifying whether you are missing credits, have successfully completed, or will successfully complete your requirements to graduate. You should expect to receive this letter around mid term.
- Please note that diplomas and transcripts will not be released if you have a financial restriction on your account. Financial restrictions may include:
-an outstanding balance
-parking ticket(s)
-financial aid exit interview
-library fine(s)
-graduation fee
- Diplomas will be mailed within 4-6 weeks after Commencement if all financial restrictions have been cleared.

-have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average including all transfer
work (excluding courses taken for academic enrichment)
