GOLF SHOWS PROMISE

   The Blue Tigers golf team finished the Drury University/Deerfield Inn Fall Classic in a three-way tie with Missouri-St. Louis and Southwest Baptist for 12th place at the Oct. 2-3 meet.  Lincoln University shot a two-day total of 631 (325-306, +55) on the par 72, 7,066 yard, Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo. 

   The first day round of 325 recorded by Lincoln University put them in 16th place out of 17 teams.

   Rodolfo Gamino scored the lowest two-day total for the Blue Tigers.  He was 27th (150 +6) in the meet.  Dan Frost shot a 154 (+10) to tie for 47th.  Keith Ware tied for 70th at 163 (+19) and Kortland Ware shot a 164 (+20) to tie for 74th. 

   Central Oklahoma (Edmond, Okla.) and Washburn University (Topeka, Kan.) tied for the team championship.  The Bronchos and Ichabods each shot a 580 (+4) to capture the top spot.  Matt Ewald of Washburn earned medalist honors as he placed first 139 (-5). 

  The Blue Tigers final meet of the fall season is Oct 9-10 at the Winghaven Country Club in O'Fallon, Mo.  The event host is the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  Winghaven is a par 72, 7,230 yard course.
