Quick Guide for Accessing WebAdvisor

  1. You must have an email account to receive your temporary password. All students at Lincoln have a campus email account. See Accessing Your Email Account for information using campus email
  2. Go to the WebAdvisor main menu and click on "Students". Click the link that says "What's my Password". On the next page, click the "Email me a Temporary Password"
  3. Fill in the "Last Name" and "Social Security Number" fields and click the Submit button.
  4. You will be presented with a drop-down box with all of the email addresses that the system has on record for you. Most students will have only their Lincoln email address. Select an email address for which to send the temporary password. Click Submit.
  5. Retrieve your WebAdvisor temporary password from your email and return to WebAdvisor.
  6. From any page, click the "Login" button in the top right hand corner of the screen. Type your usercode and temporary password and click Submit. You will be prompted to change your temporary password to a permanent password. Fill in the required information, and click Submit.
  7. You will be taken back to the main WebAdvisor menu. Click the "Students" button to return to the student area. You may now access all of the functions of WebAdvisor.

NOTES

  • If at any time you forget your password, follow the above 7 steps again to receive a new temporary password.
  • Users who fail to enter the correct usercode/password combination 3 consecutive times will be locked out of the system for 5 minutes. Wait a full 5 minutes and try again.
  • Students who do not know their email or WebAdvisor usercodes should use the "What's My User ID" link in WebAdvisor. Supply your last name and Social Security number and click submit. Your usercode will be displayed on the screen. Your email usercode is the same as your WebAdvisor usercode.
