Art Scholarship Guidelines

Students who wish to be considered for an art scholarship must comply with the following guidelines:

  1. Must complete and have on file, all forms, as required, in each of the following offices: Admissions Office; Financial Aid Office; and the Division of Humanities, Fine Arts & Journalism.
         a.   Application for Admission
         b.   Financial Aid forms - completed annually
         c.   Application for Art Scholarship - completed annually
  2. Must submit a portfolio (slides or photographs) of your best work by April 15. Announcement of scholarship awards will be made by late April.
  3. Must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5* (Must be maintained at the college level.).
  4. Must have a minimum high school cumulative GPA in art courses of 3.0* (Must be maintained at the college level.).
  5. Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 hr. minimum) at Lincoln University.
  6. Must be an art major and enrolled, for credit, in at least one art course per semester.
  7. Must exhibit outstanding artistic skills.
  8. Must attend Art Association meetings, and opening receptions sponsored by the Art Unit.
  9. Must participate in all student art exhibits which are officially scheduled by the Art Unit.
