DEPARTMENT OF NURSING SCIENCE
100 Elliff Hall
Welcome to the Department of Nursing Science at Lincoln University. Nursing is an exciting profession that provides an essential service to individuals, families and communities experiencing health and illness.
Lincoln University's Department of Nursing Science was established in 1970. The department offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing which is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). Our main campus program (Jefferson City) admits 30 students in the fall and spring semesters.
Our satellite program in Fort Leonard Wood (FLW) is designed to meet the local needs of Rolla and to meet the educational needs of active duty military personnel and their dependents. This program accepts 40 students (20 Rolla students and 20 FLW students) each fall semester. More information can be obtained by contacting the FLW program.
Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) may be eligible for advanced standing in the AAS in Nursing.
The Department of Nursing Science has established a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion program to meet the needs of practicing registered nurses (RNs). The BSN Completion Program is also accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). These options allow Lincoln University to provide educational mobility opportunities for nurses.
