Leslie Taylor, the News & Development Director is a Mid-Missouri native who spent nearly half a decade surrounded by Yoopers. She got a Bachelors of Science in Electronic Media from Southwest Missouri State University in 1987 and her Master of Art in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts from Central Michigan University in 1994. In addition to on-air work in mid-MO, she’s taught Broadcasting courses at universities in Mid-MO and Michigan. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and son. |

I spent the first 17 years working at KRCG-TV first as a staff engineer and then as Assistant Chief Engineer. I learned a lot while there working under older seasoned engineers with great backgrounds. I came to KJLU-FM in 1989 as Chief Engineer of KJLU-FM and to build JCTV-3 the Jefferson City Public Access Station. I continue to work and learn in a business that is more fun than work. |

"The Hitman" Dan Turner started at KJLU (then KLUM-FM) in October of 1973 as a high school student volunteer. Dan has worked at several commercial radio stations in Jefferson City. He was hired as the station's Communications Coordinator in 2002. He became KJLU's Program Director in 2003. The Hitman is heard on radio stations across the country with his 'Classic Soul Specials' produced five times a year. "Nobody does it better than 'The Hitman'...nobody" |

Mike Downey has been general manager at KJLU since 1996. He is a graduate of Benedictine College and the University of Missouri. He is able to leap tall buildings in a single bound; he just chooses not to.

LaVaughn A. Wilson is a graduate of Lincoln University with a degree in Journalism. While working through college at JCTV, LaVaughn volunteered for KJLU in the 90's. Now he is the Communications Coordinator for KJLU. "It doesn't matter if the name is 'Tyrone J' or 'L-Dogg', it's still all about the music in the community." |
