The Soldiers' Memorial

More than 141 years ago, the men of the 62nd and 65th Colored Infantries founded Lincoln University of Missouri. Today, the presence of the Soldiers' Memorial on the campus of Lincoln University provides an opportunity for the faculty, staff, alumni, students, and friends to honor, support, and continue the Soldier's Dream.

The construction of the Soldiers' Memorial pays homage to the soldiers and their officers of the Civil War who embraced the vision of educating all Americans. We are honored and privileged to continue the dream and hope that everyone who visits or tours the Lincoln University campus will feel the sense of pride and devotion that fills the campus.
