The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) is responsible for the accurate completion and timely submission of the Integrated Post Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) surveys to the National Center for Educational Statistics within the U.S Department of Education.

The OIR is responsible for the accurate completion and timely submission of the Department of Higher Education (DHE) surveys to the Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education (CBHE). In addition to the completion and submission of the DHE surveys, the OIR is the Lincoln University liaison to the CBHE for the submission of the Enhanced Missouri Student Achievement Study (EMSAS).

The OIR also responds to appropriate publisher surveys including College Board and Peterson's which provide important institutional data to the public.

In addition to the completion and submission of surveys to external constituents, personnel within the Office of Institutional Research are responsible for preparing institutional reports. Institutional reports include: Facts and Figures, Undergraduate Transfers-In and Dual Credit High School Students, Degrees Conferred, Fall Cohort Report, and Academic Program Review.
