Hormonal Imbalance - A Mood Swinging Musical Revue is comprised of four richly gifted singer-songwriters who with sorority sister chemistry, perform original songs and stories that offer poignant views and unbridled comedic commentary on the joys and dilemmas of modern feminine life. They harmonize about a woman’s struggles to balance a career, her family, chocolate obsessions and low carb inner peace. They sing resolutely about how to find a man who can cook, how to deal with inadequate pay, how to avoid paying retail or how to deal with inappropriately cut swim wear. The four richly gifted singer-songwriters are: Sally Fingerette, singer/actress/songwriter who has performed the Vagina Monologues with the National Touring Company and has been a featured musical guest on Michael Feldman’s, Whad'Ya Know and other nationally syndicated radio shows. She is an award-winning songwriter. Her song, Home Is Where the Heart Is, has been recorded by Holly Near, Ronnie Gilbert, and folk legends, Peter, Paul, and Mary. Debi Smith, another multi-talented musician, plays guitar, piano and Irish bodhran. She has received seven Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies) including Best Vocalist, Artist and Album. Debi has been a repeat performer on NPR's Prairie Home Companion and Mountain Stage, and has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, Stud's Terkel's Radio Hour and a half hour special on Country Music Television (CMT). Nancy Moran was declared “Songwriter of the Year” by the Virginia Sound Achievement Awards and WXGI Radio. She has recorded four solo CDs, including her latest titled Something Old, Something New. She has been a columnist for American Songwriter Magazine, an NSAI-endorsed music business instructor, and the author of several books, audio series, and courses including “The Songwriter’s Survival Kit,” “The Professional Songwriter’s Code of Conduct,” and “Making and Releasing Your Own CD.” Deirdre Flint has been heard on 100 plus radio programs throughout the country including The Dr. Demento Show and The World Café. Her offbeat humorous songs about bridesmaids' dresses and shoe shopping as therapy have been heard on TLC's network specials, "A Dating Story," and "Always a Bridesmaid," as well as the BBC's documentary "The Reclaimers."
