I.                  LOGISTICS

 

A.    Date: 

Tuesday Aug. 4th to Thursday Aug. 6th, 2009

 

            B. Location:

Lincoln University Jefferson City MO
C. Cost:

150.00 per child

 

D. Registration:
Download or call Adrian Hendricks (573) 681-5523 to request a copy by mail of the registration form
Send in completed registration form by July 22, 2009

E.   Meals:

Meals will be served onsite.* If you have special dietary needs, please note those requirements on the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate.

F.  Room Assignments:

                        Students will be assigned to a room.  You will be placed with

members of your own team if possible. 

G.  Covered Expenses

                        Rooms for youth and team

                        Scheduled meals and snacks

                        Training materials

                        Scheduled activities

H.  Personal Expenses:

                        Telephone calls

            Additional snacks etc.

I.   Clothing:

                        Comfortable and informal

                        Exercise clothing and business casual dress for dinner

 

J.  Emergency Calls:

These will be handled through the Hip Hop Camp staff and you will be notified immediately.

 

 

K. Community Meeting:

Hip Hop camp as a whole will be referred to as a Community. Each day will begin and end with a Community meeting.

 

II.    CAMP OVERVIEW

 

A.    Workshops:

The Hip Hop Camp curriculum includes workshops on a variety of topics that are directly related to the focus of the Lincoln University Cooperative Extension program.

 

       Topics include:

·     Hip Hop Culture and History

·     Hip Hop Media and Influence

·     Youth Leadership Development

·     Hip Hop Dance Class

·     Beat Production/ “DJ” class

·     Writing Rhymes and the Art of Rapping

·     Music Video Production

·     Managing Hip Hop Dollars

·     And More!!

 

Each workshop will be offered multiple times so that everyone can rotate through them all.

 

B.     Team Time:

Each day your team, and teen team facilitator will meet to work

on developing your Hip Hop Presentation.

 

C.    Closing Activities:

A structured event on Thursday will conclude

the Hip Hop Camp program. Participants can expect to
