Welcome to the Lincoln University Honors Program on-line newsletter. Here, current and future students will have access to all the information they need to determine if the Honors Program is right for them. The Honors Program is for exceptional students who value the quality of their education, as well as enjoy interacting with other students who share the same academic values as they do.
 
Initial acceptance into this program requires a high school GPA of 3.2 or an ACT score of 24. Current Lincoln University students can also be recommended for the Honors Program by their instructors. To graduate with honors, a student must maintain a GPA of 3.2 and complete 24 hours in honors course work.
 
This newsletter features access to many different links concerning possible internships, scholarships and fellowships. Honors courses for the upcoming semesters will also be posted. News and events pertaining to the honors societies on campus will be updated regularly, as well as other university-sponsored academic events. And lastly, the newsletter will keep students up-to-date on all honors events on or off campus.

Upcoming News and Events

Advanced registration for the Spring 2010 semester begins Wednesday, November 11, 2009.  You may register for courses with an advisor on campus or on-line through WebAdvisor. Students eligible to participate in advanced registration on-line must be currently enrolled in Lincoln University, not on academic probation, not have an outstanding balance with the University, and have completed 45 or more credit hours. 
 
Congratulations to the newly-selected participants of the 2009-2010 Lincoln University Women's Leadership Academy: Rhoda Bryan, Amy Fawks, Joy Pyles, Patrica Samson, Jamie Schwartze, and Ruth Turner.  As Women's Leadership Academy participants, this distinguished group of women will participate in a number of activities throughout the remainder of this year and next year including a variety of workshops on different issues, a presentation on a topic of personal interest, and the annual President's Gala scheduled for April 10th. Four of these talented ladies, each with GPA's of 3.8 or above, will go on to represent Lincoln University at the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life at the University of Missouri, St. Louis in May 2010.
