Plant Science

The plant science program at Lincoln University strives to advance the current state of sustainable crop production consistent with the 1890 mission. The main focus of the plant science research program involves the investigation of up-to-date scientific methods of crop production as applicable to the needs of limited resource individuals, families, and small scale commercial growers in the state of Missouri, and to train future generations of plant scientists. Current research projects include sustainable hydroponic crop production and controlled environment hydroponic techniques, small scale blueberry evaluation, as well as alternative management practices in sweet potato and watermelon production.
