Calendar Year 2010

Health Insurance – Same Provider/Same Rates

 

Same Provider/UnitedHealthcare

United Healthcare will remain the health insurance provider for the calendar year 2010 with the employees having the same three plan design options as this year. 

 

Same Rates

All three plan design options will have the same monthly premium rates for employee, dependent, spouse of family coverage.  Lincoln University will continue to contribute the same amount of monthly premium as the current year $382.50

 

Plan Design Options

All three plan designs have minor modifications in coverage provisions.  Plan Benefit summaries will be available in the Human Resources Office or on the HR webpage.

 

There will be an open enrollment period from November 9^th through November 30^th for employees to make any changes in coverage.  This would include changing plan design options or adding family members to coverage.  If an employee wants to continue with the same current coverage in 2010 no action is required.

 

   Plan A-$0 Deductible Plan

   Plan B-$1000 Deductible Plan

   Plan C-$500 Deductible, $2500 Max out of Pocket Plan 

   Pharmacy Drug Plan (applies to all three above plans)

 

 

Dental/Vision Insurance – New Provider/Lower Rates

 

            New Provider

A provider change has been made from Standard Insurance to Reliance Insurance.  The 2010 monthly premium rates will be lower with comparable network coverage and the same plan design to our existing coverage provided this year.  More information on new enrollments and transferring exiting dental/vision coverage will be discussed at the upcoming open enrollment meetings.

Cafeteria Plan

Please be advised that you are automatically enrolled in the Cafeteria Plan for your health, dental and vision coverage unless you choose to opt-out.  However, if you would like to participate in the Flexible Spending Account or Dependent/Adult Care Option, you must complete an enrollment form.  Deadline for paper enrollment is December 1 and the deadline for on-line enrollment is December 15^th.  Enrollment forms are available in Human Resources, 101YH.
