[Jefferson City, MO] For the twenty-third consecutive year, Congressman Ike Skelton of the 4th District will help honor local veterans at the Lincoln University ROTC Blue Tiger Battalion’s Veterans’ Day Breakfast. The breakfast will be held at 7 a.m., Wednesday, November 11, in the Scruggs University Center on the Lincoln University campus. The public, especially Mid-Missouri’s veterans, are invited to attend.

            According to Major Patrick Kent, head of Lincoln University’s Military Science Department, Congressman Skelton has been the featured speaker at this annual event since its inception in 1987. “I am honored to continue this outstanding tradition,” says Maj. Kent. “We host this breakfast to pay tribute to the veterans of all armed services. We are extremely honored that Congressman Skelton will once again share his insight with us on this special day,” adds Maj. Kent.

            The cost of the breakfast is $10.00 per person and reservations are required. Individuals must RSVP before November 9^th by calling 573-681-5346.
