Who Should Attend ROAR?

 

The 2008 summer and fall semesters are rapidly approaching and now is the time to prepare yourself for your academic career at Lincoln University of Missouri. We are so pleased that you are attending Lincoln and we want to help you make plans for your arrival and get you acclimated to the campus early.

Q. Who Should Attend ROAR?

A. All first-time freshmen and transfer students who are accepted to the university are required to attend Blue Tiger ROAR.
Parents and siblings are invited to attend and participate in orientation.

Q. Does ROAR orientation cost anything?

A. There is a $50, non-refundable costs for participating in ROAR. There is a $20 lodging costs for guests and families who lodge on campus during ROAR sessions. The $20 fee includes lodging (linen included) and 4 meals.

Q. Do I have to R.S.V.P. for ROAR?

A. Yes, you should complete the ROAR RSVP form and return it with the appropriate payment.

Q. Can I bring my family?

A. Yes, family members are encouraged to attend; however, attendance isn't mandatory.

Q. How long is ROAR?

A. ROAR is a day and a half program, ending at approximately 5:00 p.m. on the second day.

Q. Do I need to bring meal money?

A. No, four meals are offered during the ROAR orientation for you and your guests.

Q. Will I register for my classes and meet my advisor at orientation?

A. Yes, advisement and registration are two of the components of orientation. You will have an opportunity during ROAR to meet your advisor, select and register for classes, and take your student ID card. 

Q. What if I have not applied for financial aid or arranged to pay my bill?

A. Representatives from the office of Student Financial Aid and Student Accounts will be available to help finalize any financial arrangements.
