For Students: Technology Changes Summer 2008
On August 4th at 9:00 a.m. every student will have a new username and password that can be used to gain access to many of the systems on campus including a new E-mail system, WebAdvisor, the LU wireless network and a self service password reset utility. What do I need to do?
Lincoln University will also be switching all currently enrolled students to a new lifetime e-mail system. After this date, all new e-mail sent to the students' old Lincoln e-mail address will be forwarded to their new account.
OIT has mailed student account information for these new systems and FAQS to each students' home address. Students should review and follow the steps outlined in this document so that they can continue to use E-mail and WebAdvisor from off campus.
- Review the entire FAQ document.
- After August 4, 2008, please complete the following steps.
- Go to http://mypassword.lincolnu.edu:
- Complete the steps to enroll in the password reset utility.
- Complete the steps to reset your password.
NOTE: To improve security, Lincoln has instituted stronger password requirements. These requirements are explained in the password reset utility.
- Once Step # 1 is complete, please test your log in to the following systems:
- E-mail: You can access your new Lincoln e-mail account from the Lincoln University home page’s “Quick Link” menu or directly from the web at http://webmail.my.lincolnu.edu. You are required to accept the terms of service agreement the first time you log in.
