Lincoln University Department of Student Financial Aid would like for you to know that funds for Stafford Loans come from private lenders. Since this is a federal program, the terms and conditions are the same, no matter which lender you choose. However, some lenders sell their student loans to servicing companies, which means your loan may not be serviced by the lender you select. Borrower benefits and customer service also vary from lender to lender.

The following are a few lenders you may choose from for our loan program. The list of lenders has been provided to assist you with choosing a lender. These lenders demonstrate superior customer service and outstanding savings. However, you may choose a lender that is not listed by clicking on the “choose another lender” link at the bottom of the page. If you choose to select another lender, please stop by our office to complete the required documents as soon as possible. For more information on a specific lender, please visit their website. ¹Must also meet the following borrower qualifications: 1) sign up for e-correspondence within 90 days of first disbursement and manage the account online at www.nelnet.com, 2) maintain a valid e-mail address and receive e-newsletters about financial literacy for the life of the loan, 3) make all payments on time (no more than three days past the scheduled due date) throughout the life of the loan. If a borrower pre-pays the loan and the total of pre-payments are greater than three-times a single scheduled amount, the last five payments will not be waived. (All benefits effective for loans disbursed on or after October 1, 2007.)
