LADY BLUES PUT IT ON BLUE TIGERS, 81-29

Playing without their top three scorers (Brezette Elder-Wade, Jasmine Washington and Tiffannie Wolfe), Lincoln University traveled to Lee Arena on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kan. and lost by the score of 81-29 on Dec. 16.

The Blue Tigers (1-9) were led by Stacey Smith, who recorded career highs in points (10), rebounds (9), blocked shots (2) and minutes (30).  Five Lady Blues (7-1) scored in double figures. Brooke Ubelaker, a two-time first-team all-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association pick, paced the No. 5 ranked Washburn attack with game highs in points (18) and rebounds (11).  Cindy Keeley scored 12 points and adding 11 points each were Amanda Holmes, Nikki Holmes and Corkey Stiger.

Another bright spot for the Blue Tigers was their free-throw shooting.  Lincoln University shot a season best 88.9 percent from the free throw line.

The Blue Tigers never held a lead in the game.  Lincoln University shot a season low 21.7 percent from the field and had their second worst game from 3-point range (1-11) .091 percent.  The Blue Tigers dished a season low three assists and had a season high 22 turnovers.  The Lady Blues scored 34 points off of the 22 Blue Tiger turnovers.

Washburn University nailed a school record 15, 3-point shots in the win.  Their 50 percent (15-of-30) shooting from long range is the largest percentage allowed by the Blue Tigers this season.

Lincoln University has never beaten Washburn University.

The 52-point margin of victory allowed by the Blue Tigers is their largest since being handed a 91-34 defeat (57 points) at University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg, Mo.) on Nov. 30, 2005.

The 29 points scored by the Blue Tigers was their fewest in nearly five years.  Lincoln University notched 23 points in a 56-23 loss at Incarnate Word on Feb. 7, 2002.

Lincoln University travels to Searcy, Ark. to take on Harding University (7-1) on Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
