The Blue Tiger basketball teams play at home (Jason Gymnasium) all week.  The women's (1-4) basketball team begins the week against Pittsburg State University (2-2) on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  The women picked up their first win of the season last week (Nov. 21) over William Woods University, 76-64.  In the victory, Jasmine Washington scored a game high 23 points and pulled down a team high 9 rebounds for the Blue Tigers.  Lincoln University lost on the road in Kansas City at Rockhurst University on Nov. 25, 83-50.  Brezette Elder-Wade scored a game high 21 points for Lincoln University.

After the game with the Gorillas, the Blue Tigers return to action on Saturday when they host Truman State University at 3:00 p.m.

The men's (3-3) basketball team is trying to snap a three-game losing skid.  The Lincoln University men shot a paltry 39.7 percent (23-58) from the field in a 64-60 loss at home Nov. 25 to Missouri-Rolla.  Tremaine Wilkerson led the Blue Tigers in the losing effort by notching game highs in points (19) and rebounds (9).  The Blue Tigers host No. 17 Central Missouri on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  The Mules (4-0) are averaging 86 points-per-game and have beaten their four opponents by an average of 30 ppg this season.  The game against the Mules is the second this season for the Blue Tigers with a team ranked in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II Preseason Poll.  The Blue Tigers fell to the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri 75-46 on Nov. 19 in Maryville, Mo.  Northwest Missouri is ranked No. 18 in the NABC poll and No. 7 in the Division II Bulletin Preseason Top 25.

The Blue Tigers lost on the road at NCAA Division I Missouri State University on Nov. 21, 88-56.  Lincoln University trailed at halftime 37-24, but succumbed to Missouri State in the second half.  The Bears jumped on the Blue Tigers with a 14-0 spurt in the opening 3:34 of the final half on their way to the win.

In the Blue Tigers first three wins, they shot greater than 40 percent.  During the three game losing streak, Lincoln University has shot less than 40 percent from the floor.  The Blue Tigers are 3-0 when they score more than 68 points and 0-3 when they score 60 or less.
