
Student Insurance Plan
Lincoln University has negotiated an affordable and comprehensive health care plan for our students and their dependents. Full-time students (registered for 12 hours or more) will automatically be billed for the student health plan, but have the option to waive the insurance. Part-time students are not automatically enrolled, but may opt to join the student health plan, at which time payment will be made directly to Aetna Student Health at time of enrollment. Please see the instructions below on how to waive/enroll in the student health plan.
Students who are U.S. citizens and have health insurance coverage through their parents or some other plan will not be required to keep the University-sponsored plan, but they must waive the insurance to avoid charges.
NOTE: If a student chooses to waive the insurance, a review will be done by the University's insurance carrier. If the student's personal insurance is found to be inadequate (i.e., no insurance coverage for the entire academic year) the health plan will automatically be applied to the student's account.
How to Waive
To waive the insurance, students need to complete the online form providing proof of other health insurance coverage at www.aetnastudenthealth.com before the annual deadline (as posted). Deadline: August 28, 2009 for Fall 2009 Semester. Students will need their 7-digit student ID number and date of birth to log-on to Aetna Student Health.
- Your student account will automatically be billed until you waive the student health insurance plan. There will be no refunds given after the deadline date.
- If you are unable to complete the online waiver for any reason, please call the Student Health Center at (573) 681-5476 for assistance.
How to Enroll
To enroll into the student health plan, students need to complete the online form at www.aetnastudenthealth.com before the annual deadline (as posted).
