BLUE TEAM WINS 2006 FALL WORLD SERIES
The Lincoln University baseball team completed the 2006 Fall World Series on October 20. In game five of their best of seven series, the Blue Team bested the Grey Team 11-4. The Blue Team claimed the series 4-1. Adam Patch clinched his second win of the series for the Blue Team. Dan Struemph (Blue Team) was named the 2006 Fall World Series Most Valuable Player
In game one of the seven game series, the Grey Team beat the Blue Team 4-3. A two-run home run by Dan Struemph (jr., C) in the top of the sixth inning helped the Blue Team take the lead, but they did not retain it. Adam Patch (sr., P) picked up the complete game victory for the Grey Team.
Game four on Oct. 18 was halted in the top of the third inning due to a rain delay. The Blue Team was leading 7-4 with the Grey Team at bat with the bases loaded and one-out when the game was suspended. When the game was resumed, the Blue Team held on for a 8-6 win. Nick Neuner (fr., P) picked up the win and Matt Rose (sr., P) earned the save.
