Quartetango: Music+ Dance; April 24, 2009

The Passion! The Poetry! The Rhythm! the pulsating verve of Argentina tango will come alive on the Richardson stage when the musicians, dancers and singers of the Cuartetango ensemble sweep across the footlights and onto the balcony with long strides and tragically sensual lyrics. “It is Leonardo Suarez Paz’s enchanted, inspired and creative soul that invades this tango concert . . . he makes his violin recite with expressive virtuosity the joys of angels and the despair of devils . . . so that no passion goes unnoticed.” - Horacio Ferrer, Poet and President of the National Academy of Tango, Argentina Cuartetango features Antonio “Junior” Cervila who has gained international acclaim as a principal dancer of “Tango Argentino” on Broadway and the renowned tango dancer Leonardo Suarez Paz who lists Robert Duvall and Mikhail Baryshnikov among his pupils.
