Welcome From the Alumni Association President

Dear Alumni and Friends,

Welcome to the Alumni section of the new Lincoln University Website. And, congratulations to all of those who worked tirelessly on the development of this site.

I hope you will view this section of the Lincoln University Website as a vehicle that will enable you to stay abreast of University and Alumni Association activities and events, as well as a means of maintaining contact and reconnecting with friends and former classmates. Imagine alumni all over the country connecting with former classmates and renewing old friendships!

I consider this link an excellent way to communicate Alumni association information to all of you. For example, information about the National Association, local chapters, chapter officers and area contacts, things that are going on at out alma mater and how they affect us as alumni.

The past couple of years have been exciting ones for our Alumni Association. We’ve grown our number of local chapters by 25% by adding new ones in Memphis, Southeast Missouri, the New York Metropolitan area, and Dayton-Tri-Cities. Financial contributions to the University over the past three fiscal years have grown by more than 40% over the previous three-year period.

The Alumni Association has developed an excellent working relationship with our new University President, Dr. Carolyn r. Mahoney. She turned her attention immediately to critical issues affecting our alma mater; she is a great listener and a good observer of people. I hope you will have the opportunity to meet D. Mahoney on one of your visits to the campus.

As President of your Alumni Association, I welcome and encourage your suggestions and comments. The other national officers and I are honored to have the opportunity to serve you and take that responsibility seriously.

Enjoy this new LU Website and this Alumni Association link and visit it often.

Best Regards,
