| Description: | A postdoctoral research position is available for Microalgae Research at the Bio-energy Research Laboratory at Lincoln University in Missouri. The Bio-energy Research Laboratory is working on the production of algal biomass for the production of ethanol and biodiesel. The successful candidate will get involved in a broad range of research developments such as the collection and isolation of microalgae strains from the mid-west. The position will also involve culture condition development for the larger scale cultivation of selected strains, as well as the processing of harvested microalgae. The ability to plan and execute experiments and prepare accurate reports is required. Supervising several undergraduate/graduate students will be included in the duty. This position is extendable beyond the initial year of appointment depending upon the performance and funding availability. This position is available immediately and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

| Qualifications: | Ph.D in the area of Phycology or Microbiology or closely related field. Knowledge and experience in fermentation or the systematic of algae is desirable but not required. |
