San Angelo, Texas: The Lincoln University Blue Tiger Women’s Track team is back where it belongs…at the top. The women took top honors at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships. On day 1, Anna Kay Campbell captured the women’s long jump crown with her jump of 20 feet 3 inches. Campbell beat out Blue Tiger teammate Raquel Anderson, who came in 2nd place with her jump of 19 feet 10 ¼ inches. Gerald Boscoe finished 2nd in the men’s long jump competition with his jump of 24 feet 4 ½ inches. At the end of day 1, the women were in 3rd place overall, and the men were in 8th place.

Day 2 proved even better for the Blue Tigers. As a team, the women added enough points to more than double the score of their closest competition, Grand Valley State. When all was said and done, the women scored 100.5 points to Grand Valley’s 48.

Samoy Hackett won the Blue Tiger’s 2nd individual honor by winning the 200 meter dash with a 23.83 time. Janika Martell finished 3rd (24.44) and Nandelle Cameron took 4th (24.60) giving the Blue Tigers 3 of the top 4 spots. 

Kawayne Fisher took the individual crown in the 60 meter dash with his time of 6.64. Kimour Bruce (6.73) came in 4th, and Gavin Terrelonge (6.82) came in 7th for another strong Blue Tiger showing.

The Lincoln University Track Team    Sunday, March, 15, 2009:  
The Lincoln University Blue Tiger Women's Track team is once again the National Indoor Champions.  Under Head Coach Victor Thomas, the women came in first at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.  Anna Kay Campbell is a National Champion.  Her long jump of 20 feet 3 inches  earned her the crown.  Samoy Hackett, with her time of 23.83, is the National Champion in the 200 meter dash.  On the men's side, Kawayne Fisher took top honors in the 60 meter dash with a 6.64 time. The men's team came in 5th place overall.


Friday, February 6, 2009:  
Women's Track.  It looked like several clean sweeps in
Warrensburg, Missouri for the Lincoln University Blue Tiger Women's Track Team.  Winners include:  Okine Codlyn (60 m hurdles) Kaydian Howell (800 m run), and the 4x400 m relay team.  The clean sweeps include the 60 m dash-Nandelle Cameron (1st), Jody Ann Powell (2nd), Marcia Woolery (3rd), and Jhanell Brown (4th).  In the 400 meter dash; Carla Thomas (1st), Patricia Tinglin (2nd), and Keneisha Jones (3rd).  In the 200 meter dash, Marcia Woolery (1st), Carla Thomas (2nd), and Jhanell Brown (3rd).results

Saturday, January 31, 2009:  
Track and Field.  It was a successful trip to
Manhattan, Kansas for Okine Codlyn and Notoya Thompson of the Lincoln University Blue Tiger Track team.  Codlyn finished 3rd in the women's 800 meter run, 2nd in the 60 meter dash, 3rd in the long jump, and 3rd overall.  Thompson finished 4th in the 60 meter dash, 1st in the high jump, 5th in the long jump and 4th overall.

Friday, December 5, 2008:  
The Lincoln University Blue Tigers had a good showing at SIU Carbondale.  First place finishers include Semoy Hackett (W 60m Dash), Kimour Bruce (M 60m Dash), Carla Thomas (W 400 m Dash), Nandelle Cameron (W 200 m Dash) and the 4X400 m relay. Complete Results
