Lincoln University Blue Tigers Golf

 

Lincoln University Senior golfer, Aaron Murphy was selected to the NCAA Division II Ping South Central Regional golf team. The South Central Region is comprised of schools from the Lone Star Conference, Heartland Conference and the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Aaron represented LU at the Midwest / South Central Super Regional at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan on May 3rd-6th, 2009. He shot 72-74-72 for a total score of 218, finishing 15th in the tournament.

 Golf - Tuesday, October 7.  Lincoln University Blue Tiger Golfer, Aaron Murphy won the Southwest Baptist Invitational Golf Tournament.  The tournament was play Monday and Tuesday (October 6-7) in Bolivar, Missouri.  The Senior shot a 74 in the first round and a 68 in the second round for a 2 under 142.  He tied for first with Central Missouri golfer Justin Yoder, but was able to beat him on the 2nd hole of a playoff.  As a team, the Blue Tigers finished 8th.

Because of his performance at the Southwest Baptist Invitational Golf Tournament.  Murphy was named the Heartland Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.


September 30, 2008.  The Lincoln University Blue Tiger Golf Team tied for 8th place at the Pasta House/Drury University Invitational Gold tournament this week.  The tournament finished Tuesday.  Individually, Aaron Murphy tied for 10th.  he shot a 75 and a 73 for a 148.  Kortland Ware ended up in a tie for 19th with his 78-72 for a 150.
